Sales Tax

Due to evolving state sales tax laws in the South Dakota v. Wayfair aftermath, we have begun collecting sales tax in several more states. Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming purchasers will be charged applicable Sales Tax unless purchaser furnishes a resale or tax exempt certificate to RSC prior to purchase. No prices or quotations include sales tax. If you would like your account to be set up as tax exempt, please email a compliant tax exemption certification to sales@recsupply.com.

Missouri Location

We are happy to announce a new warehouse location. Effective December 2019, we began shipping and receiving operations in Bourbon, Missouri. Our goal is to continue to improve our service to you. This location helps by reducing the shipping time for many of our orders and by reducing shipping costs. We look forward to serving you better than ever before!

New York Orders Soon Subject To Sales Tax

Our North Haven, CT Warehouse

Recreation Supply Company is proud to announce the opening of our North Haven, Connecticut warehouse. We officially began shipping orders from the new location over the winter and now we have it stocked up for the 2017 spring commercial pool prep season!

We are now stocking our most popular items in both locations. This allows us to reduce shipping times for stock orders to over half of our customers. We can now deliver orders by standard ground UPS or USPS service to over half of the US population in 2 days or less. In fact, over 80% of the population will receive their standard ground orders in 3 days or less!

Better Shipping Calculation

Calculation of our freight charges has been really easy the last couple of years with our $7.95 flat rate for orders under $100 and free shipping for orders over $100. But there are a few products that we simply can't ship free and still offer our best prices in print. So now, if you order items that are not eligible for free freight on our website, or if you ship to a location where we cannot ship for free, you will know at checkout. And our friendly staff will always get your confirmation of any shipping charges that might apply before proceeding with your order.

The Future...

We are set up to bring additional improvements and content in the coming weeks and months. One of the things that isn't quite ready to launch yet is the ability to customize certain products (for example, identifying frame and strap color of casual furniture). So, in the meantime, you may specify any colors, sizes, specifications or instructions in the comments when placing your order. If we have any questions or if additional information is required to process your order, we will contact you right away.

Drain Cover Safety Recall

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), several VGB-Approved drain covers are being recalled because they were incorrectly rated for protection against body entrapment by independent third party laboratories. Not all covers or applications are affected, but the CPSC has identified several covers by manufacturer and model number. Please bookmark this link and refer to it for the most up to date information regarding the recall:

To determine if your pool or in-ground spa drain cover is subject to the recall, call the Drain Cover Recall Hotline toll free at 866-478-3521 or contact the drain cover manufacturer directly.

Customers will not incur costs for reasonable replacement/retrofit of recalled drain covers that are installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Pool Owners must register with the manufacturer of the recalled drain cover and, where applicable, have the service performed by the manufacturer's authorized service provider, in order to avoid incurring costs for the replacement or retrofit of recalled covers.

Of the covers that we distribute, some (but not all) covers manufactured by AquaStar, Hayward Pool Products, Pentair, Waterway Plastics, and Lawson Aquatics are subject to the recall. None of the Eureka Manufacturing VGB stainless steel covers or fiberglass grates are subject to the recall. If you have any questions about whether or not your covers are subject to the recall, please review the list at the website linked above or contact the manufacturer directly. If you need help determining the manufacturer and model number of a cover you purchased from us, please call us toll free at 800-437-8072 or email us.

 Finally, we received a shipment of the Pool Tunes Floating Speaker & LED Light. This item will transmit from your MP3 player's headset jack to the floating speaker. I am anxious to try this out at my home pool. While I don't expect BOSE quality sound, of course, I expect it should be more than adequate for some nice outdoor listening, and I won't have to worry about getting the speaker wet because it's waterproof up to 3 feet underwater for 30 minutes. When I checked out this item at the Pool/Spa Expo in Las Vegas last fall, I thought that for the price, this could be alright!
